I specialize in helping people who are suffering from grief and loss. Whether your grief is related to death, the end of a relationship, a changing career or even letting go of what you thought life would be; Grief can have a paralyzing effect on your life. There is a saying that time heals all wounds, but those who face the pain of grief, know that it isn’t so simple. Grief can be misunderstood. People apply timelines and stages to the healing process, but grief looks different for everyone. While healing grief isn’t a straight or easy path, together we can navigate the journey to finding your new normal. I have helped many people feel better, live better and love better.
When you love someone who is in the midst of addiction or an untreated mental health condition, it can be a dark, lonely and chaotic place. When people come to me they are often exhausted, filled with grief and fear and even worn down from well-meaning people telling them what they “should do.” I personally know this anguish and have helped others navigate this rough terrain
When it is helpful, I use CRAFT, an evidence-based approach that provides layers of support for family members with a loved one experiencing a substance use disorder.

It has never been easy, but parenting in this era brings about even more challenges than ever before. It can be a thankless role at times and brings highs and lows like nothing else in your life. Many times the wounds from childhood show up in parenting, which adds to the stress. I bring my experience with children and family systems, along with being a mother to three, to help parents with children at all ages and stages of life.
To find more peace and enjoyment in your parenting, I can help you:
After nearly 2 decades working with people in a therapeutic space, I consciously operate from a place without judgment or bias. Rather than an expert on what’s best for you- I am trained to help you come to know this answer for yourself, through our work together. I am authentic, genuine and committed to our therapeutic relationship.
I enjoy creating a space that matches your personal way of being. Whether you like to laugh and bring humor, or sarcasm or swearing or prayer or maybe for you, the counseling room is a more sacred, serious or formal place-- I strive to create an environment where you can feel comfortable to come as you are and BE who you are. There aren’t many spaces in the world where we can let down our guard, the therapy space should be the one you can always count on to do that.
I have a nurturing, collaborative and guiding approach. I have the knowledge and experience to support your healing and to give you tangible skills and tools for change. You can trust me to guide the therapeutic process towards the goals you set out.
My training as a therapist is grounded in the motivational approach, also known as Motivational Interviewing (MI). While originally designed for work with individuals suffering from substance use disorders, MI is very effective across a broad range of settings and for many different needs. I have found it to be incredibly powerful in helping people make progress in therapy. By using an integrative approach in my work, therapy is tailored to each individual's needs. Some modalities I employ frequently include:
